Randy Daniels

Since graduation I married up to a wonderful woman. Graduated SUSC (BA Communications) and Michigan State (MA Advertising Management). I eventually landed in bank marketing and worked for First Security Bank, Crossland Savings Bank, Key Bank and now M&T Bank. I still enjoy music and dancing and the outdoors. In Oregon I live about 90 minutes from the mountains and 90 minutes from the beach. Pretty cool. I served a mission for my church and have served in a variety of positions. Somewhere along the way I developed a talent cooking for large groups with Dutch Ovens. I just completed a week-long BSA Council Event called AdventureTREK where young men and young women Varsity Crews compete in a high adventure of canoeing, rafting, biking and hiking. I've cooked for as many as 300+, but this time I only had to worry about cooking on camp stove top for 75 people all week.

The stories I remember have been told and retold and are mostly distorted versions of what probably actually happened... like the time many of us were playing tag on the roof of the high school and someone fell through the patio openings... and while trying to get them out the police came and chased us off the roof. There are also little details and fragments of memories like at some of the dances when that plastic stuff which was used to lower the ceiling of the dance floor and then with all the body heat it would puff up like a big dome. And then there was Huck playing Santa Claus and embarrassing who ever was in the middle of some love triangle teenage drama. I have fond memories of band trips, concerts, choirs, football games, yelling so loud and long at state playoff games that you lost your voice. And every time I return to Cedar City my kids always wondered why I drive up main street and turn around at a certain spot (the old dairy freeze) and then drive back down and turn around at Hermies. They just don't "get" the concept of dragging main. Kids.
