Richard Andrew Cwik 1959 ~ 2011 Richard Andrew Cwik, beloved son, brother and friend, crossed the finish line Thursday, March 10, 2011 at 8:50 p.m. at St. Joseph's Villa in Salt Lake City, Utah. He passed quietly from the loving arms of his family to the gentle embrace of his Saviour. Richard leaves behind many cherished friends, but then, Richard was always at the front of the crowd. Richard was fiercely loyal and generous to his family, friends, colleagues and faith. He was passionate about so many things and could converse intelligently about all subjects; sports, cars, music, business, politics, science and travel. Richard is survived by his father and mother, Joseph C. and Joann A. Cwik, brother John (family Heidi and Cassandra Jo), sister Katherine, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Richard was born in 1959 in Illinois; he resided the past 43 years in Utah. Richard earned his MBA from Utah State University and spent his career at Northwest Pipeline in Salt Lake City, Utah. Richard was a warrior and fought a good fight against Parkinson's Disease for over 20 years. He is our angel and protector forever now. A public viewing for Richard will be held from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., and a public Prayer and Rosary Vigil from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, March 14 at Memorial Mortuary 5850 South 900 East, Murray, Utah. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 15 at St. Vincent's de Paul Catholic Church, 1375 East Spring Lane, Murray, Utah, with interment at Murray Cemetery immediately after the Mass.
